We offer a therapeutic education to our students delivered by a qualified teacher allowing students to still access high-quality teaching whilst outside of the school environment. Whilst throughout our whole provision mentoring is paramount and a main factor in the work we do. Building relationships with our students and understanding what each individual requires to be a success is what we pride ourselves on.

by doing this it allows for our students to succeed within education and achieve accredited qualifications whilst gaining skills in preparation for Post-16.

We undertake a variety of assessments such as Strength and Difficulties, PASS and BKSB allowing us to track and develop our students progress providing both school and home with reports.

​

Our students access daily physical acitivity as this supports their mental health and helps develop their ability to concentrate within the classroom. We invite in guest speakers and go out regularly in the community for outdoor learning or work experience to widen the students knowledge and build on their life skills.

CURRICULUM INTENT

Our overall aim for the students is to support them to re-engage with learning, broaden their outlook and help them see a future for themselves developing the character skills that will enable them to be successful.  

We build our inclusive caring culture and ethos.  We believe in safety, respect and responsibility where we look at: Attitudes to learning, positive behaviour, learning routines, high expectations and shared values. 

We fosters personal development and social understanding.  Chances offer a range of subjects following the BTEC and NVQ routes.  We believe education supports personal growth: Mentoring, assemblies, careers, PSHCCE, SMSC, Mental wellbeing, Relationship and sex education and other emerging issues.
